I found a DR Horton home for my client. Remember the builders agent represents the builder. When it came time for our walk through , the builders agent was unprofessional when he saw me assisting my client look for flaws. That's our job to help our clients and until that day, I've never had a problem. There was a lot wrong with the house and it seemed like the builder just wanted it closed... Read more

After repeated request at the sales office and the onsite construction supervisor, we still cannot get the contruction workers to clean up their trash in and around their work areas. We live in this community (Bellasera on the Waterway, NMB,SC.) and we keep our community clean. When we attempt to say something to the workers, they just smile and say (no speak english). Buyer beware. Horton does not have a customer focused warranty policy and willfully lies to get the homeowners off their backs. I had a couple of small issues with a home I purchased in Myrtle Beach. If you read their closing documents, they do not cover flooring or counter tops in their warranty. Horton representatives in the Deer Trails II subdivision, Conroe, TX, are knowingly allowing homes to be constructed with a vast array of problems, and then they simply refuse to correct the problems once the buyers do D.R. The warranty services personal in Palm Bay Florida are spiteful, abusive and disrespectful of customers. I have been waiting for warranty services for months now. I see all these complaints.. DR Horton has millons of customers and you guys scared of 270 complaints.. First why would you buy or even close on the house unless you have your own professional inspector inspect the house at least twice.. 1. get it inspected before the dry wall goes up. and before you close.. 2. if those errors are not corrected ask for a discount on the sales price and you want...
